It’s two years away, but Schwarzenegger isn’t impressing anyone right now.
Addendum: Schwarzenegger is refusing almost a billion in stimulus money for the unemployed, even though he’d previously promised to buck the party line. Rush’s stranglehold is complete.

Don’t underestimate Schwarzenegger and two years is far away. Americans have short memories. I’m worried about this one.

I’m not. I don’t think he’s even going to run. And this wouldn’t be a run against Davis or Angelides. Boxer’s one of the big kids on the block.

Please read the entire press release then; it describes how the last two re-election campaigns had the exact same polling numbers this far out (she went on to win with the largest number of votes ever received in our statewide elections).
I’m happy that californians finally have representation at the table for transportation funding re-authorization (where your gas taxes go). Boxer is chair of the Senate environment and public works committee.
We only get about 86 cents from the feds for our projects for each dollar of gas taxes we sent to Washington. Alaska, with it’s bridge to nowhere (Waisilla!), gets about $4.40 for each dollar in gas taxes they send (an Alaska representative authored the bill, as he was the republican chair of the relevant committee in the House).
She has gotten to be a relatively higher ranking senator and I personally want to see her and Feinstein in the Senate for a long time to bring CA issues to national prominence. I also don’t want her running for governor, I just don’t like her politics sometimes, a bit of a dino? (dem in name only)

Arnold completely missed the boat. He should have aligned himself with the progressive left. There is a huge demographic out there that put Obama in the White House. but still has not had one politician with the guts to run on a truly progressive platform. They are all just too bought into the status quo, and cannot extricate themselves from it. If one of these “Personalities” ever decide to cash in on “Populism” They could not only make history, like Obama did, But also turn us away from a life of crime against humanity.

There’s been some talk about Villaragosa ( Mayor of LA) making a run for governor. Anyone know much about his politics?

I currently live in LA and he is majorly derided here.
He works a total of 11 hours a week. The rest is all photo ops and fundraising and travel.
Much like newsom, a non-mayor and political crony.
