I just saw the new documentary Maiden at the Rialto in Sebastapol with my daughter and some family this evening. About the first all-women crew to race in the Whitbread globe circling sailing race. The sexism and misogyny they faced was over the top. It was 1989, but I think sailing culture was considerably behind the times. An amazing story about some incredible women. I’m not going to tell you what happened, but will just say that they accomplished something well beyond expectations, given that many didn’t even expect them to finish the first leg of the race. I hope it comes to the Minor or the Miniplex.

Kelly Lincoln interviews Cliff about his pending run in a nice write-up at Redheaded Blackbelt.

We have two three-candidate campaigns in the works.  It might seem a bit early, but our primary election has been moved from June to March in Presidential run years, so it’s closer than you might think.
