I haven’t seen the forms, but County employees are being asked to sign a form which says that they have read Measure K and understand it.  I’ve never seen anything like that before.  Do they do this with every law that passes?  Did they do this with SB54 which is much more extensive?   All they really needed was an instruction to not contact ICE without talking to a supervisor.

Apparently some on the Human Rights Commission are complaining about having to sign it, and about having to actually do something – although I completely agree that the County should actually give them resources.  To do something.

For the record, Measure K does not require that employees sign any forms.

Addendum:  Here’s the actual form.  Seems simple enough actually.  What is all the whining about?
