IFL Science takes a look at the history of the relationship between environmentalism and nuclear power, and speculates as to whether environmentalists could embrace “or at least tolerate” it as part of an anti-climate change energy strategy.

For the older generation which saw the China Syndrome and experienced Three Mile Island and Chernobyl in the news, endured long boring speeches by Dr. Helen Cauldicott, and committed hours and hours of political activity and civil disobedience in opposition, the answer is no effing way.  But the younger generations are taking a second look.
