I heard it on KMUD on my way home from work.  I can only find this LA Times article on Google.  For them, the story was in whom wasn’t chosen.

Good for Bonnie.  Good for Humboldt County.  Maybe not so good for the Marina Center Proposal nor the proposed port development.

Addendum: Heraldo beat me to it, and made the same observations.  Kind of reinforces an old theory bandied around here that I am Heraldo.  I’ll look into it.

A very thoughtful discussion.  Man, I’m looking forward to the Matthews/Specter Senate race in a couple of years!

This Kos blogger would like to see a debate between Ayers and fellow ex-Weathermen Mark Rudd on the historical impact of their decisions.  I’d go out of my way to watch such a discussion, reminiscent of the “yippie vs. yuppie” debates of the 1980s between Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin.

I wasn’t here for the droughts of the mid-70s and late 80s.  The Eel between Redway and Garberville looks like the river of August/September, which scares me.

Hopefully, next week will catch us up a bit.
