He’ll talk about what he does to try to keep the river areas clean, and respond to some criticisms from other members of the community – tonight on KMUD at 7:00.

So…how’d it go?

One person can help to make a revolutionary change in the mindsets of those who currently disrespect our waterways. How many will change do to a good person’s deeds are debateable. It is kinda like the “bad habit” that disrespectful fux like guys and a growing number of women who spit their loogies(wads and wads of it) on the sidewalks, at entry points to storefronts, etc,,, that prevail like land mines. Or, those disrespectful fux who allow leashless dogs, or walk their dogs letting them piss and poop on other peoples property, on the public sidewalks or landscaped areas, etc… because they are too lazy and disrespectful to clean-up after their enslaved animals, let alone probably too lazy to even wipe a young infants ass clean, as part of being a parent.
Sincerely,
HOJ

After listening last night, my thought after hearing Mr. Casali speaking publicly, he is his own worse enemy. I can understand both sides of the argument, This is nothing new anywhere, but what it comes down to are private and public property owners, why can’t they pick up their own property.
There is a very successful Eel River clean up http://www.pottervalleywater.org/eel_river_cleanup_report_2011.html
I’m not sure why john was on your show last night if he is not doing this any longer and this Mike guy has taken over? Is John just venting? Its time to move forward and get property owners to pick up.
Has Scott G, Friends of the Eel River been contacted? How about Salmonid Restoration Federation, or Eel River Recovery Project? What about the Mateel or the Community Park? People talked last night about involving the Community, well these are all Community non-profits. including Trees Foundation..
Has anyone contacted the local Cub or Boy Scouts? Girl Scouts?
Did anyone contact this new Eel River Task Force, Water Days 3 is coming to the MCC on March 30th. That would be a good place to talk about, has it come up before?.
It’s a very tough and difficult subject to deal with.

Kudos to any “good person” who helps volunteer cleaning-up the waterways. Unfortunately, just because a person is part of any organization to volunteer does not mean that in other aspects or areas of their life that that person is not screwing another person over in our community or backstabbing them. It goes the same for community members who claim this and that about doing good for the community, but as these types sit on political commissions, committees and boards, are screwing and backstabbing people over, having nothing to do with any agenda but for using the position to tacketeer from.
Sincerely,
HOJ

That was “racketeer”, not tacketeer. Weird, all-of-a-sudden, the 3 boxes below won’t move as the text box enlarges due to longer posts.

What about Sanctuary Forest? They care about the water, right?

That is what I mean. This will be the 3rd “Water Days” conference at the Mateel, Had John ever spoke at this conference before?

John did an excellent job last night. If anyone thinks he can do a better job cleaning up you should shut up and put up.

Its not that he can do a better job, its that he needs better resources to help with his goal of keeping the river cleaned up, Which is good for everyone. Something happened to get john to this point. there are other people who take the time and money to pickup the river, not from the homeless, but from after festivals that come from transients. But the issue is the homeless or transient encampments that got John in most of his problems. Are these encampments on the river bar? Are they even close? Why did it go from cleaning up the river bar to cleaning up all these encampments on private property? One persons junk is any others gold mine. Stick with the river bar, that’s all I’m saying. Its your “you should shut up” comment that doesn’t make Johns cause any easier. This is a very hard thing to deal with and telling these homeless folks to buy a shovel to dig a hole to go in is not the answer. they should not be there in the first place.

Those encampments on private property are much more damaging to the river than parking on the river bar.

Thank you John. On the whole a big thank you.

Anonymous 2:12 am, if that is true why can’t the private property owner file a complaint with the County Environmental Health Department and the Sheriff for trespassing?
And what you forget about only saying “parking on the river bar” for ROTR, its just not parking, its camping and parking on the river bar for 4 to 5 days. How far back off the river bar are these encampments?

ICU812,
Problem with the Sheriff’s Deputies is that they (as a group of public employees) are a basket case of good and bad cops (true blue and rogue). Just yesterday in Valley West, 2 homeless guys (it appeared) were sitting down alongside a public road with their back-packs off, minding their own business. Then, all-of-a-sudden, 3 sheriff’s cars roll-up to engage. Now, had there been an accusation of theft, physical threat, etc…, the deputies would not have been so passive as observed. Moreso, it appeared as if the sheriff’s deputies wanted to be shown in force to mess-with the 2 guys just to make them go away out of an area “where shoppers shop close by”..
Further, in private property matters, sheriff’s deputies don’t take accurate reports, refrain from making reports when certain people are involved, etc… HOJ has had his share of private property matters, called the sheriff’s and all they do is taint the situation against HOJ because HOJ is despised by enough deputies in the region that the deputies actually racketeer from their position of acting like Judge, jury and executioners. When HOJ was attacked with a weapon, showed the deputies the bloody cut, the sheriff’s deputies were obligated to seek out the weapon and question the assailant. Guess what, they did not because they want HOJ to suffer, not get justice.
HOJ shits on the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, pure and simple. Rogue cops include Greg Bickel, Deputy Baum, Deputy Dave Deimer and a few others, plus higher-ups like Morey and Sheriff Downey who cover their lower officers with non-effective internal investigations of complaints which are kinda like what the LA shooter explained in his manifesto regarding internal investigation cover-ups. HOJ has all justification to do what the LA shooter did to the direct cops involved, but won’t because HOJ ain’t that dumb or “whacked-out”. HOJ shits down their throats heartily.
Yes, HOJ has a beef with these treasonist cops. So do other folks in McKinleyville for whom HOJ has already spoken with, comparing incidents. These rogue deputies run around with a chip on their shoulders whenever they know certain people stand-up against their outrageous conducts or pose a threat to what really is going on by public employees within the sheriff’s department.
Here is hoping for federal sequestration which will rid the streets of more cops, we don’t need cops. Law enforcement is way over-blown. Law enforcement does not prevent crimes, but mop-up is accurate. Problem is that the mop-up is used with dirty water, thereby rendering law enforcement as useless, unless it is a certain criteria the cops taint the situation on behalf of. This is one reason why the DA’s office is over-worked – cops that file false reports, don’t do their job legally, etc….How the hell is the DA gonna prosecute someone over something that is way off base, wrong, etc…as manifested by crooked cops?
As far as ROTR, just think all those vehicles are not “leak proof” when regarding oil leaks, drips, etc…, some with purged radiators dripping that green radiator fluid, etc…High water in the winter suggests a mixture of sorts that gets into the waterway.
Sincerely,
HOJ

Its funny that Eric never weighed in on this thread, not that he has to, but he is the one that stirred up the $hit as it were. He used a hour of KMUD air time for what? He could have talked about the Planning Commission at-large issues. Must have been a slow day for politics on KMUD.

I think I weighed in on my radio show. I don’t really have anything to add. Perhaps it wasn’t the show for you ICU.

No, nothing like that. I had made a bet I could engage you on this thread, draw you into the conversation you started, it was just a bet in passing, just a bar bet, round of drinks kind of thing, Thank you for asking, looks like I won the bet, and drinks are on WTF.

It’s pretty easy to engage me in a conversation ICU. Just ask me an intelligent question, or make an intelligent comment.

Eric? Since you knew the issues john had, why did you only have a one sided interview, without an explanation or facts from the CHP or facts concerning encampments on private property from the Sheriff or the Environmental Health Department? Or any other people that john had conflicting issues with?
Again, this is my reason for calling it a one sided interview. It didn’t seem you were interesting in hearing from anyone except john and his point of view.
One thing I never heard about, does the dump allow people to dump human waste with their trash? If john was picking up all this trash, did it also include human waste he was leaving on the side of the road in trash bags and then taking to the dump? It would seem if this was the case, you could be causing more health problems.

John was personally attacked on a previous KMUD show, and in letters to the editor. I gave him an opportunity to explain what he does and respond to the attacks. Aside from this thread, I have received nothing but positive feedback about the the show, so obviously it met a need. Obviously, it wasn’t yours. Perhaps my next show will better meet your needs. Or the one after that.
