Well, Ed, it is anti-park as the community wants it, as the numerous public meetings have shown over and over again. The County will be sponsoring a number of meetings around the EIR.

Anyway, it’s a bottomless pit discussing the matter with you. You won’t answer any questions directed at you, so it’s not a two way discussion.

Auntie Mouse? I’m getting really tired of people saying its “anti=park”. Its not anti-Park, its ANTI-PARK BOARD. You don’t get that? We want a Park, Open Space, Prime Ag Land, Farming. This is not what the Park Board wants, just ask Eric or read what they proposed online. In fact you can ask the Park Board what’s going on at their next public meeting? Ask Eric for the time, place and date. I know of about 50 people who would love to attend.

Well, I, for one, am getting really tired of the nonstop anti-park rhetoric…the names on the blog (mostly this one) keep changing but the rhetoric stays the same..meanwhile, I’m happy to see the park board moving ahead to make the park something good for everyone…the board should know that the majority is behind them.

This is why I don’t allow much discussion of this topic on this blog. It brings out some strange stuff.

Anyway, you found two non-profit organizations which have voting memberships. Two data points. There are thousands of non-profits across the state, and country. I’m guessing you missed the statistics survey class in college.

Well Eric, it seems I made my point. The two biggest 501c3 in Southern Humboldt do have meetings open to the public and do have public membership, including voting for Board members by the membership. So much for. “Most do not have voting memberships. In fact, that model is very rare”

I think you have just shown your true colors and are willing to take anyone down with you just to save your own ass. Thank you very much for your answer……

There’s no “heat” wingnut. Most non-profits in fact do not have meetings open to the public. Most do not have voting memberships. In fact, that model is very rare.

But you know that. That’s why you were afraid to answer the questions.

BS Eric, you only want to put the heat on others and not be accountable as a 501c3 Board. I answered your question, other non-profits in SoHum have their meetings open to the public, but not the Park Board. Am I missing something or did you speak out of turn? Now you want to take your toy’s and go home. You only want to play by your own rules and of course its your blog.

You need to post rules of engagement. Go ahead and slither away to your Eureka home.

What the hell is a “GSD” meeting and what does that have to do with open public community Park Board meetings Eric?

No, I not letting you throw other community 501c3′s under the bus today. I want you to stick with the Park Board. I will let Heidi, Mitch, Richard and Kathy answer your comparing the Park Board public meetings with the Jefferson Project and the Westside Community Improvement Association meetings.

Stick with the program Eric, what’s this about “to oppose water fawcetts (faucets) for kids using the park”?

I’m talking about the Park Board, Not other random non-profits you pick to shut me up. The Mateel has public Board meetings, so does KMUD, SHWT, Rotary, Kiwanis and Hospice. There meetings are all open to the public. When has the Park Board had a meeting open to the public?
