Ah, the American contradiction. You can drive an old caddy and still be a Hippie. If it’s old enough you can trade off the environmental impact considering its age.
You can’t be “Anti-establishment” in America; unless you’re rich. We all have to walk the thin line between conscience and reality. Maybe people could stop using the media’s derogatory terms designed to separate people as their own language.
Besides, the hippies all died in a “…blue haze of marijuana smoke, covering the disillusioned and lost generation who quickly moved on to reality and went back to college for MBA’s” At least that is what happened according to Rhupert Murdoch’s “History Channel.”
Remember Sociology rule #1-Those with power; have the power to define and label deviant behavior.
Of course “deviant” doesn’t always mean “Sexual”.

Maybe she’s a treehugging, yippie freakster?

And, Eric, you should use his much better, if completely inappropriate, quote “I’ll take a lot of credit for that!” Who cares if it doesn’t apply or make any sense. He sure didn’t.

on 101 yesterday i watched a very well-preserved couple drive by in a late model pickup truck; on the back of the truck was a Rex and an Estelle sign. funny sight, jeez she might really have a chance…
if it is true that Clif does not return phone calls and letters from his constituents that in itself is a good reason to vote him out…it seems to me that that is a very important part of his job, and i generally approve of Clif…
what a race! all the letters, neighbors vs neighbors, i wonder who i’d be for if not registered in mendocino…

The definition of hippie is a group of people whose unconventional dress and behavior express withdrawal from or non-participation in conventional middle-class life and indifference to its values.

Hippies are anti-establishment, pro-environment, liberal voting, anti-big box, anti-development folks. The exact opposite of estelle.

Remember Carlos Quilez and estelle’s no show vote.

Look at estelle now-a-days. Cowboy boots? Looking like an old rodeo queen. Gimme a break.
