Hot off the press. I think this is very good news. I know that some around here feel differently. The decision was made under closed session, and I’m told that the vote was unanimous.

We do agree on something Eric. She is the best at allowing the public access to public records. By the way, you were right about Goldeen, he sold to Bob McKee, seems the Park has a new old neighor?

Well, I knew it because he announced it in a letter to the newspapers a couple of months ago.

Who is “he”, Goldeen or McKee? I read both the Indie and RT every week and I don’t remember either one talking about the sale of that property. So I guess it is true?

I am happy to see the old planning director take a hike. He was pretty lame at his job, making his position into an adversary to the general public. He really liked to do what was best for us no matter how many people disagreed with his agenda.

ICU – Goldeen. He wrote a letter announcing that he was leaving the community largely because of the dysfunction around here, and slammed Ed Voice in particular.
8:50 – Well, I think he was another source of talent lost to the community due to local dysfunction. Santa Clara will benefit from our loss.

“The attacks and inaccuracies from Mr. Voice are disgusting to me (and others), generally inappropriate, and are especially questionable given that I think his background should be guiding him to be more careful, accurate, respectful and kind in dealing with the public. Of all people it would seem to me that he should be one that is using his experience, skills, and background to help his neighbors like me, and get local residents and kids an added place to visit, play and learn from (like the So Hum Community Park.) Inaccurate and nasty comments like his should not be published in my opinion until they are proven to be reasonably accurate in advance. They are hurtful to folks like me, and others including many neighbors, visitors, newcomers, and supporters of the Park. I had hoped to build a retirement home in Garberville someday, but that does not seem like such a good idea to me and my wife any more”
This is what you are talking about Eric. How can Goldeen have beem leaving the community, when he was never a part of it. This is what told you Goldeen was selling his property to Bob McKee?

Eric Kirk
Well, it’s what told me he was selling it. I didn’t know anything about the buyer.

Cove dude
ICU812 you’re putting words in Eric’s mouth. Eric never said Bob was the buyer.
ICU812 “By the way, you were right about Goldeen, he sold to Bob McKee, seems the Park has a new old neighor?”
When and where did Eric say this?

Cove dude, here is when Eric said it:

I know Eric never said “Bob” was the buyer, it was me. I don’t have to put words in Eric’s mouth, he does it all on his own.
To get up to speed as per the link above, maybe you should know what’s going on like I did, read the links below, maybe this will answer your questions and why Goldeen wanted nothing to do with Garberville.

I misunderstood your sentence. I do apologize. I was aware that Sanford Goldeen was planning on selling his parcel and moving on. I did read his letter in the paper.

Thank you Cove dude, but from what Goldeen said in the paper in responce to Ed Voice and what his real plans were according to his agreement with Garberville SD are two different things on the same 80 acres. It doesn’t appear Goldeen is use to this sort of thing, being from Marin. So who is kidding who. I guess law and order is coming to the old Wild West after all and some people just don’t cotton to rules and regulations, they like wiggle room.

Eric Kirk
What he’s not used to is being slandered and having private conversations thrown into the papers. Marin is much more stringent with development regulations and code enforcement. Much, much more. He came and would have contributed enormously to the community. We drove him out. Our loss.

We, as in you have a mouse in your pocket. Without knowing all the inside story and only what is in the newspapers about all of this, it seems the CP Board drove him out, Who was being slandered? Just because you think so makes it so in the court of public opinion? This was not a private conversation, it was carried over from a public meeting, where Goldeen had embellished all over himself in front of the public. If I recall the article, that meeting back in November 2011 was the first time Goldeen ever set foot in Garberville.
I think you spelled it wrong, its not enormously, its erroneously….

The CP Board drove him out? Funny, he didn’t mention that in his letter to the editor.

Or it kind of makes one wonder if it was just a shell game. Would have been a lot harder to justify putting the water treatment plant on McKee’s property that is contiguous with the rest of Buck Mountain Ranch, subdivided without water.

I know, it was all about that baby killer Ed Voice back then. But it’s funny Goldeen did in his letter to the Garberville SD dated April 26, 2012. It’s on their web site for all to read.
