So says the guy who sent this link to me, and I agree. Even better than Zappa’s.

And totally unrelated, but John Nichols told a joke in Boulder yesterday. A liberal, a conservative and a moderate came into a bar. The bartender said, “Hi Mitt.”

Okay, now I’m not usually impressed with Yankovic, but that one is good.

I’m giving your Romney joke to John at the library. He will lend it to the world.
Someone had to point out to me that Weird Al’s Dylan sings entirely in palindromes. That’s high gibber!

Whoa…I hadn’t noticed that. That’s a whole lotta palindromes!
By the way, Charley, do you really intend for your name to link to Fred Mangel’s blog (humboldtlib.blogspot.com)?

Not usually impressed with Yankovic? Whaaahuh? The guy got famous by playing/singing “Another one rides the bus” live on Dr. Demento, using an accordion & a 5 gallon plastic bucket!! And in “Smells like Nirvana” when the marbles came out of his mouth… Genius!!
BTW- I know you used to listen to the Dr. Demento show…

John, sorry, but I generally find Yonkovic’s humor sophomoric, along with most of Dr. Demento’s stuff. I did listen to him – in the seventh grade – and thought he was hilarious back then. I still like Another One Rides the Bus. Never heard Smells Like Nirvana.

Beyond his humor, his polka band is absolutly fantastic in terms of tallent. One of the tightest bands you will ever see.

It’s only fair to tell the world, still speaking of palindromes, that this Dylan piss-take is titled ‘Bob.’ Now I get it.
tra, I had to implicate something, and I find Fred’s blog deeply relaxing. I’m so tired of doing anything.
