Apparently NASA’s elite never saw the episode where the unmanned probe was rebuilt and reprogrammed! Will we never learn?!
And yet, here we go! Unlike the Vikings and previous rovers, this one shoots lasers!
As a side note, I guess I didn’t notice it as a kid, but don’t the two red shirts who get zapped in the video look like twins?

I’m thinking about those squid-like things in Matrix.
As for Anonymous, well, that’s several billion dollars worth of “boring.” Hopefully, more than a few people find it interesting and look forward to the discoveries next August. Personally, I think it’s one of the more exciting moments since early space exploration, and I’m glad they’ve finally dumped the shuttle program in favor of some real science and exploration.
