I don’t have any money at my house. Why the heck would you have money at your house? Just in case a door to door saleman has something that you need and they don’t take credit cards? My wife allows me to have twenty dollars for lunch money.
I live across the canyon, all I heard last night was a party, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t connected. Gunshots and fireworks are so normal in Benbow that I sleep throufgh most of them.
I am certainly glad that there wasn’t a worse outcome.

Kym Kemp is now reporting at least one suspect in custody.
“On Monday, November 28, 2011 at about 1148 hours, Deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office arrested Hussain Munassar Obad (04-04-1987) for the early morning home-invasion robbery of a Benbow area residence. Obad was taken into custody without incident in the parking lot of the Garberville Motel. Detectives from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office began interviewing witnesses early this morning that led to the possible location of Obad.”

Marijuana rip off, what do you expect. I too think that there will be more of these types of robberies. Because of the economy maybe but more do to the increase in people activlely engaged in the mj industry.

Where did you find information that it was a marijuana rip off?

It was a money rip off, from marijuana sales presumably, as who else has lots of cash in their homes? This is the third home invasion in Benbow in the past few months. Local youths are implicated in this one, and arrests are expected soon.
