Why did he dodge the question about whether he supported the Libyan revolution?

I don’t think he dodged the question. Rather he didn’t accept the frame of the question, and doesn’t see it as his role to support or condemn the Libyan Revolution. He was trying to make several points at once with a fairly complex issue, but I think that’s where he was coming from. He did say that he would always support a democratic movement overthrowing a dictator, but he isn’t certain where the movement in question is going.
At least that’s what I took out of it. You can listen on KMUD’s archives to make your own decision.
I have Susan Adams set up for my next show, though she may only be there for half of it. I may have another candidate follow her up for the second half.
