I’m just catching up with the story over the past day or so, but Police Chief Garr Nielsen’s unceremonious firing by City Manager Dave “Lightening Rod” Tyson has whipped up a bit of a storm and talks of recalls. I don’t have the time right now to devote much to analysis, but Heraldo has all the links. There are even some videos.

Joe Blow
Why would what’s happening in Wisconsin be considered a sickness, a “Fever”? Personally, I’d say it’s the bodies natural response the the sickness pervading all governments, city, county, state and Federal. Some of that’s represented right here in your gratuitous plug for Heraldo.

Does Joe live in a cave? Does he really not understand the slang use of the term “fever?”

A fever is your body’s response to an infection, an attempt to raise your body temperature to get rid of the invading force. Eureka is systemically sick with the old guard. The city needs a fever right now if it’s going to cure itself.

Heraldo is government Joe? What branch?
This may have awakened the sleeping giant. When was the last time an unarmed suspect was shot to death?

Unk John
Mr. Blow and Mr. (sighoh)^2(sigh),
Whereas the body’s reaction to a sickness is always an attempt to restore it to health, the action it takes is not always immediately beneficial and can lead to other dangerous problems. Although I am not well enough informed on the inner problems of the city of Eureka, I must submit that what is happening in Wisconsin is more than just counterproductive.
