Are they going mainstream in rough times? I guess they don’t want to feel relegated to the coffee house art and politics crowds, but that is where the local cultural vitality lives. Truly, the Town Dandy is a unique and brilliant column – I always turned there first, even before the letters to editor. This is very depressing.

I wish Hank well. Anybody married to a girl from Branscomb California can’t be all bad.
I will say that he made me think. I have to begrudgingly admire anybody that can do that.

Every one’s entitled to a mistake but Abate’s interview at KSLG was appalling. I’m stunned that Hank would feel he had to leave to make way for someone so self-involved. I can’t imagine the Journal without Hank’s wit and humor and his excellent writing.

So Eric. You take part in the remixes to humiliate the man? I am sure he has realized how Humboldt has changed since he left it years ago. And that change is NOT for the good.
