I’m going to talk about…, well, I don’t know yet. Probably the election aftermath. Maybe something else.
7:00 as always.
Addendum: Okay, probably this!
Seriously, any of you terrorist marijuana growers thinking about blowing up the Shasta Dam?! Well you had just better forget about it because no fewer than 20 federal agencies are ready for you!
Second addendum: Well, I had a surprise guest who steered the show towards the offshore naval military maneuvers soon to begin. But someone sent me another link on the pot terror drill story.
Unemployment may be hovering at 10 percent as construction is at all time lows and foreclosures are rampant, but Wall Street had its fourth best year in profits. Not nearly as well as they did last year mind you, but they did very well.
But of course we have to give them the special tax breaks which will up the deficit another trillion. When they’re happy, we’re all happy! So basically, the universal tax cuts can’t be extended unless the special goodies for the rich are as well.
And the Democrats are afraid of this issue? I swear that Democrats couldn’t sell life jackets on the Titanic!
I’m also willing to bet that unplanned pregnancies are at a low rate.
We should all be lesbians!
Here is an article which discusses research pertaining to sexual orientation and sexual abuse specifically, referencing other studies. And another. The key fallacy in anti-gay activist citing of some studies is the automatic assumption that an adult who abuses a child of the same sex is homosexual. But child abuse is not always about sexual attraction, and these articles discuss the complexity of the issue.
I’ll have some personal thoughts on the subject later.
By the way, the authors of the study do not claim that it never happens anywhere. There is definitely a margin of error. A good many of the kids in same-sex marriage families are adopted and adoption selects for parents who are older and ready for parenthood, and there is a pretty rigorous screening process. Still, the study and others which have reached similar results can’t help but to undermine some popular assumptions among homophobes.
The LA Times discovered Sohumborn.
