Just that they would like it to be written people born in California are citizens of California. Citizens of California were not citizens of the “United States” before the 14th as nobody was a citizen of the United States, they were a citizen of whatever state they were a citizen in and their state happened to be part of the United States. That’s the main issue. Mainstream opposition takes this to mean change the 14th in order kick out Guatamalan folks or some other racist shit. But really a purist would want it just to only recognize birthright as a state issue even though its mandated by the republic.
