You may think that Christine O’Donnell’s rebellious “dabbling” is no big deal, but some on the right think it’s a huge deal.  Maybe even a deal breaker.

….

Bill Clinton thinks Democrats are being weenies.

Tomorrow they have their Satrerian existential moment on the tax cut front.  They can push a bill which does not renew the rich guy tax breaks (and reduces the deficit by 30 to 40 percent), they can offer to extend the middle class cuts and a separate bill for the rich guys (which terrifies Republicans and conservative Democrats), or they can lose their House majority and possibly their Senate majority with a wimper.  The decision will probably come tomorrow, and it will only take 39 Democratic weenies to kill the opportunity.

California’s biggest weenie is already chiming in for the wimper.

Stephen Colbert will testify at a House Judiciary Committee meeting on Friday.  In character.

….

Feingold is in trouble, and West Virginia, a rapidly reddening state, is in play for the Republicans.  However, the West Coast Democrats seem to be consolidating, increasing the Republicans’ Senate chances slightly.  538′s simulations have the Republicans taking 47.6 seats, up from 47.1 after O’Donnell’s upset win in Delaware last week.

A University of Colorado study suggests that the presence of immigrants actually reduces violent crime.

….

Sen. Blanche Lincoln appears to be going down in flames.

….

I’m not happy with a number of Jerry Brown’s stands, but he’s seizing on what the national Democrats may not.  Maybe this is why the campaign’s been turned around.

….

Addendum: It looks like the Democrats will opt for the whimper.

….

Second addendum: This is the problem.

A spleen sandwich stand.

I have to say that I’m intrigued.  If I’m ever in Sicily I’ll look the place up.

Heraldo reports.
