Okay. Not bad.

Well, I’m reading up on the Finance Reform bill which passed yesterday.  Maybe it’s because my expectations are low, but it looks like there’s some good stuff in there.  We really need to break up the bigger banks, but derivatives regulation is nothing to sneeze at.  It could prevent another crisis.

Credit the Democrats for finding some balls.

They had to make some deals to get it.  But because only the stripper guy from Massachusetts and the Maine twins voted for it, it’s now also an issue for the Democrats in the election season.  Scott Brown of course pulled a Ben Nelson and bagged some goodies for his home state.  I thought he was supposed to represent a change from that sort of politics, but whatever.  It got done.
