Tell me how registering people who aren’t likely to vote Republican helps Republicans.

Because you can start sending them propaganda and calling them on the phone. Some fraction of these people will realize they don't actually like taxes or government budget deficits after they get the memo.

This doesn’t look like fraud to me. It looks like stupidity and avarice. It’s stupidity on the part of Republicans and profit motive on the part of the signature gatherers. I suspect that they just signed up a lot of people who won’t vote Republican. Democrats and independents re-register as Republican when they want to screw up a Republican primary and elect the easier person to beat. Tell me how registering people who aren’t likely to vote Republican helps Republicans.

Despite all the hyperventilating about ACORN and “democratic voter fraud,” the fact remains, that for REAL voter registration fraud, you have to look to the Republicans — still the masters of political Dirty Tricksterism. Tricky Dick would be so proud!
