Humboldt County District Attorney candidate Paul Hagen will hold a meet and greet event in Shelter Cove from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The event, hosted by the Shelter Cove Pioneers, is open to the public and will be held in Abalone Hall at the Shelter Cove Community Clubhouse, 1555 Upper Pacific Road. Potluck dishes are encouraged, and people from all over the county are invited to attend.

Hagen’s press release makes it sound like the Pioneers are endorsing him.
Usually the Pioneers host a “candidates forum” not just one event for one candidate.
I think someone should check with the Pioneers about this.

The Pioneers don’t “host” just one person, at least not in the past. They would “host” all the candidates for a position, for a debate or forum. It sounds fishy.

if this is a candidates forum then hagens press release should have said that…..hagen obviously wants to give the impression that the Pioneers are endorsing him.,they definitely don’t.

It’s not a candidates forum. Paul Hagen was invited to meet and greet, and the organization is in fact hosting the event. You’re grasping for an issue here.
