Allison Jackson will announce her candidacy for District Attorney tomorrow, Saturday –March 6 at 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center. The Aquatic Center is located downtown Eureka at 921 Waterfront Drive next to the Adorni Center.
I’m told that she’ll be introduced by outgoing Supervisor Jill Duffy and County Administrator Loretta Nickolaus.
I don’t see a website yet (other than her Harland firm page), but the first Google hit takes you to a spirited discussion at Heraldo’s.
Rose has a post of course.
And the blogthing.
Addendum: So, will Paul and Paul split the progressive vote? Or will Paul, Kathleen, and Allison split the anti-Gallegos vote? The answer is “yes.” But it’s a run-off election (in theory), meaning that if nobody beats 50 percent two candidates will be on the ballot in November and based upon the current Secretary of State interpretation of election law, either of the other two, or anyone else for that matter, can run as a write-in in November.

Paul Hagen will be the Clendenenesque sleeper candidate everyone expects to come in third. He will win in November.

Hagen will not be getting my vote. He is part of the Arcata boutique environmentalist cabal. I would sooner vote for Allison Jackson.

Why do we need Allison Jackson? If we don’t want Gallegos, then we can just vote for Paul Hagen. I don’t see how Jackson is any better then Paul Hagen. She will have to make her case.
