I think there’s still a comic book store on Broadway, right? Well, I’ll be in there tomorrow to see if I can get a copy of this issue, because under somewhat whiney right wing pressure Marvel Comics is going to be striking the tea party references in subsequent printings. If you get a copy of the first version, it could be worth some money down the road. What is the whining about? Basically, Captain America and his superhero buddy the Falcon say bad things about the tea baggers. You can find a bigger version through the link.

Why are teabaggers upset with comic books? At least their signs are spelled correctly.
Comics are not the only books being scrubbed and whitewashed. Texas secession looks better with every passing day.

They have an image of themselves. They’re emotionally invested in what they’re doing. They don’t like the image to be undermined and they’re angry that others don’t look at them the way they look at themselves. The comic book isn’t just an argument on MSNBC or Pacifica Radio. This will reach youth, and it will have an impact on its readers. It undercuts the narrative.
I’d be upset as well, and I would have to react to it. The linked blogger’s response is lame, but they have to try.
