What did you expect? It’s all about Joe Lieberman. It’s always been about Joe Lieberman.

Nope, not a jerk. Just a man with principles that he will not throw away.

The only thing worse than listening to Liberman whine is listening to him whine about people having access to health care.
Liberman should just go ahead and become a Republican.

So, if you can’t have a public option, what else do you want in your health reform package?

I don’t want mandated insurance that’s for sure. Nothing else will matter because any new regs will be watered down or loopholed to death. Healthcare doesn’t work in the private sector unless you have money, and the jobs which offer coverage are dwindling fast. Without a public option I lean towards scrapping it and trying it again in another 15 years when Americans are ready to push harder than insurance interests for what they say they want in polls.

Well, the question is how many times the Democrats are going to let themselves be burned by this guy. He tried to torpedo them in the presidential race. He should have been stripped of his committee positions a long time ago. He was spared last fall on the argument that he’s “with us on everything except the war.” Not even close, but I tried to tell them that. They didn’t listen to me.
I hope all the union people who voted for him when he ditched the party and ran as an independent are happy with their benefits. They may learn a hard lesson.

If you want Lieberman to vote with you one needs to attach an amendment to the bill that says Arabs will be killed. He’s a mean mother fkr. An Orthodox Terminator who thinks a dead muslim is a good muslim.

Leiberman should put his money where his mouth is and opt-out of the free government-run healthcare that he benefits from.

Oops. I meant that he’s a regular Joe.

He’ll compromise, twist and pervert them, but he won’t throw them away.

Are moose considered to be kosher?
October 28, 2009 at 9:19 am

As long as a mammal chews its cud, it’s kosher.

Though Eric is ignorant of Jewish law, but renders summary opinions about it anyway. Camels are mammals, chew a cud, and are not Kosher.

Sorry. I forgot. The animal also has to have cloven hooves. Both chewing cud and cloven hooves. One isn’t enough.
The Bible lists several specific animals which aren’t clean for one or both reasons. Among them are camels, pigs, and rabbits as I remember. But the rules would also exclude bears, hippopatimuses, lions, and possums. And primates.

You never fail to make my day with your smug superiority on all thing Jewish. You are as predictable as the winter flu.

You open your cud chewing mouth and insert your uncloven hoof.
Eric, your oft stated assertions of facts about things Jewish are as predictably inaccurate as next week’s weather prediction.
Leads me to think your claims of knowledge in other areas may be equally bogus.

Sorry Eric, the snide part of my retort was intended for anonymous.
But I do think you should refrain from rendering opinions on things Jewish, of which you clearly aren’t highly knowledable. There are no local Jewish scholars, but plenty of objective websites exist that can be cited as being credible.

It wasn’t an opinion nor was it inaccurate. Chewing of the cud is definitely a factor in kosherness.

If only Gore hadn’t been such a prude. He took Lieberman onto his ticket to show that he, Gore, wasn’t like Clinton. Lieberman represented moral purity. Being VP candidate made him famous and the rest is history, unfortunately.
The dems can’t do anything about him because he caucuses with them, giving them 60 people in Congress – a magic number. It’s discouraging. I haven’t disliked a public figure as much as I dislike Lieberman in a long time, if ever.

Magic number for what? It doesn’t do them any good here, for the key issue of the decade.
