Okay, I’ve been seeing this ad all around the Internet. A “Redway Mom” lost 47 pounds through this “diet plan.”
Well, last week, I was in Guerneville using my parents’ Internet access and I noticed that the “Redway Mom” had moved to Forestville.
Well, now she’s back in Redway. Unless she’s moved by the time you’ve hit the link.
She must be local. She advertised on the Redwood Times site.

Eric, you’ve been duped. They geolocate your IP and insert their best guess at your hometown.
With Javascript disabled, that Rachel Ray page reads, “My name is Alyssa Johnson from , and I wanted [...]”
When I turn on Javascript and reload, the same line reads, “My name is Alyssa Johnson from Santa Rosa, and I wanted [...]”
That’s because using SBC’s DSL makes me look like I’m from Santa Rosa. This trick can also be used to place a city name into a photo on-the-fly.

Oh yeah, I’ve gotten a couple of emails about “nude single women in Redway.” If they’re legal age there are maybe 10 tops. I know half of them. I wonder if I can get their photos.

Eric, this morning I went on-line to read the Times Standard and found that she was “your city mom” today. Perhaps the GPS can’t figure out where Alderpoint is, or perhaps she’s moved so much she is now the truly universal person.
