Well, I hope she has a super life partner to share her off hours with. I think that makes her a woman-woman, not a man-girl.

Rachel Maddow mean?, I don’t find her mean, I do find her pissed. I’m pissed too dammit. Those Republicans have managed to cheat me on my savings for retirement. Banks get bailed out, citizens get thrown out of their homes.

Snarky, yeah she’s snarky, sounds good, some of the things were grossly illegal and I’m not even talking about stealing the election in 2000. I like snarkey in this case. The power given unconstitutionally to the previous occupant of the White House under dubious circumstances, yeah that bothers me…a lot. I am glad she is out there evernight questioning these things and I hope she keeps it up.

Now we have man-girl…what are you referring to here? Her short hair? Her thin figure? Gosh you don’t think she’s a lesbian do ya? I don’t but I could be
wrong. Not that I would care, I like the way she asks questions and the way she thinks.

The CNN show Crossfire is off the air now. In the old days it was too annoying for a liberal like me to watch because they’d put some rabid conservative like Pat Buchanan or Bob Novak up against some milquetoast moderate liberal like Tom Braden or Michael Kinsey. The right winger would say something obnoxious in raw meat fashion, and the lib would wag his finger and say “now now.”

In the later years the roles were somewhat reversed. They brought on Tucker Carlson and Bob Novak to represent the right. They brought on Paul Begala and James Carville to represent the left. Novak is of course a raw meat conservative, but while Carlson’s politics may be red state, his style of debate and dry wit are more blue state. Carville and Begala are the reverse, particularly Carville. So you’d have knock down fights between Carville and Novak (Novak even walked out on one show), but when Carlson was on he was the one trying to have a substantial discussion (just like I think he does with Maddow in the clip, he’s actually quite disarming despite her “open anger”). I would identify with Carville politically, but Carlson culturally.
