Assembly Member Tom Ammiano finally put the proposal into writing. It is the first bill in California to call for the legalization of pot, as amazing as that may seem.
Addendum: Even if it passes it’ll be too late for this Arcata couple. And this guy. It looks like they’re cracking down on what has been reported as an epidemic of grow houses in Arcata using subpoenaed PG&E records.
Curious about the NORML study which projects a billion in revenues for the taxation. Does that factor in reduced prices due to legalization? When I have some time I’ll look at the study (availabe through the top link). I’m curious as to what models they used to determine lawful market prices.
