About time! The Times Standard has, well, no real details, but the story.
The federal government and Pacificorp have reached an agreement in principal on removing four dams on the Klamath River and have floated the deal to tribes, fishermen, farmers and conservation groups.
I’d like to know what about the deal will keep Oregon agribusiness from throwing another tantrum and unilaterally redirecting the water in actions which would have gotten environmentalists or anyone else arrested. I hope there are some salmon left to save.
I think some of you were confusing the map below, which depicts movement of the counties across the country towards either party between 2004 and 2008, with the actual results map. This is the results map. Obviously the blue counties went to Obama and the red to McCain.
