In a supplemental agenda item added Friday afternoon, 2nd District Supervisor Roger Rodoni is seeking his colleagues’ approval Tuesday to clarify that last week’s motion to stop Code Enforcement Unit inspections refers those conducted under inspection warrants. The exception for the halt in inspections pending review of policies and procedures are cases under the purview of a court or judge.
The original motion, unanimously passed, did not specify investigations under an inspection warrant.
So if I’m reading it right, the Code Enforcement team will continue to operate with respect to cases already filed. Meaning they can continue to harass people against whom charges have already been filed. The TS description of the agenda item is cryptic. The ER has even less information. The meeting is tomorrow morning.
