Purple counties were won by Clinton. Obama’s counties in green.
Usually the progressive wins in the two urban areas while the conservative wins in the rural areas. The north coast counties have long been “swing” counties. But obviously there was a very different dynamic in this contest.

And it looks like the voters decided to give rural areas more casinos and less funding.
Addendum: A side note on the last minute robo-call blitz. I spoke to someone last night who had received a recording of Jack Nicholson endorsing Clinton. She said she almost hung up on it right away thinking it was an obscene call.

Wow.I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but this guy freakin’ scares me to death.
I don’t agree with the vast majority of his public-policy positions, and yet I still find myself getting sucked in when he speaks.
I understand all of the reasons why Obama shouldn’t win the presidency even if he ends up being the dem nominee, but something tells me we should all start praying that the She-Devil pulls this thing out.
Otherwise, I am afraid we’re going to be back in the wilderness for another eight years.
